ofjustimaginemods, i am @ofjustimagine on both ao3 and twitter (very predictable i know!)
Stuff I like:
- Soul bonding/soul marks/soulmates/touch deprivation. Especially if there's something in the soulmates trope that is "inverted" or "subverted".
- Other favorite tropes: Accidentally married or fake relationship, road trips, pining, domesticity, and found family.
- Kink is something I'm always into reading and listening to, and I really don't have any dislikes or triggers in that realm, unless it's non-con. Favorites are exhibitionism, spanking, sex toy play, size difference, and bondage.
- I am 100% okay with (and welcome!) any consensual incest.
- Threesomes, foursomes, moresomes! Even better if it’s specifically polyamory, but I’m fine either way. Polyam V’s are not typically my jam.
- AUs are fucking great. College, internet celebrities, spy, and royalty AUs are my favorites!
- I love podfics that fall under the category of "character study". (This is a broad term, but if you think it fits I will gladly go along with your judgement!)
- This is (of course) not a requirement, but as an insomniac who uses podfics to help sleep, long 1hr+ podfics are my favorites.
Stuff I don't like:
- Non-con. Dub-con is a weird old grey area in general, but I am fine with things like a/b/o or pon farr tropes.
- Hanahaki Disease and wingfics are my two hard extreme squicks.
- Non canonical character death. (I'm a bit more lenient with this with TTRPG canons, but it's never my preference.)
- Regency AUs.
- Apocafic/zombie apocalypse. I am, however, okay with COVID related plot points.
- Infidelity.
- I'm not against the whole genre, but I read too many ass baby fics as a youth, and stay away from mpreg as a rule for it.
- In RPF fandoms, WAGs/partner hating is a hard no. Additionally, specifically in the 1D-verse, fics with a strong "Management" plot or Nick Grimshaw hate are also not okay.
Fandom specific stuff:
F1:
- Anything with loml Sebastian Vettel!!!
- I guess if I had to rank my Seb related ships, it would be Seb/Mick, Seb/Lewis, Seb/Charles, Seb/Mark, Seb/Jenson.
- Any variant of childhood friends to lovers (ie Charles/Pierre, Alex/George) OR childhood friends to enemies (ie Lewis/Nico, Pierre/Esteban)
- If you'd like to really go full niche: Callum Ilott/Marcus Armstrong, Felipe Drugovich/Clem Novalak
Hockey RPF:
- Stuff I've been into lately: Carter Hart/Kevin Hayes, summer/off-season settings, Erik Johnson's horniness levels, curses.
- Stuff I'm always into: Anything with World Juniors, Mathew Barzal/Anthony Beauvillier, AUs where one person is still a player but another isn't, Career ending injury future fic, Free agency drama.
- Stuff I would prefer not to have: Sidney Crosby/Evgeni Malkin, Mitch Marner/Auston Matthews, anything involving the Hawks, Oilers, Leafs, or Preds.
Critical Role:
- I am very behind on watching Hell's Bells, but have read spoiler recaps.
- Vox Machina: Percy/Vex (Percy/Vax/Vex is also good!!), anything related to Cassandra and/or the de Rolos, any future fic that goes deeper into the endings described in ep 115.
- Mighty Nein: So, I am not feeling really shippy with M9? Anything exploring Fjord or Beau's backstories or Jester's relationship with The Traveler would be rad!
- RPF: Sam/Liam through the ages, anything Matt/Marisha/Taliesin.
D20:
- I am caught up with all the campaigns, but my favorites are definitely The Unsleeping City and Fantasy High.
- Fantasy High: Anything Abernant sisters related, Bad Kids Leviathan adventures, anybody going through parental angst, way future fic.
- The Unsleeping City: Future fic with everybody's kids, Santa!Wally, Pete/Cody, anything Ricky Matsui related.
- The Seven or ACOFAF: is anybody writing this?? anything!! just give it to meeeee.
NADDPOD:
- I am always caught up so no worries about spoilers! (Also out of all the TTRPG I listen to, NADDPOD is my favorite so you would be getting a million bonus points from me for choosing this alone.)
- Bahumia: Hardwon/Moonshine, way future fics which explore the life expectancy differences, Tales from the Crick.
- Trinyvale: Honestly just anything relating to the triplets being more family and opposed to adversarial.
- Eldermourne: Filling in the backstories of The Third Mates, Zirk character study, past members of the Blades.
9-1-1/9-1-1: Lone Star:
- 9-1-1: Buck/Eddie, AUs of any kind, anything you come across that you think has good characterization of Christopher, social media fic, no Ana or Taylor bashing.
- 9-1-1: Lone Star: My KINGDOM for Marjan or Paul backstory, an angstier side of TK/Carlos, AUs of any sort.
Misc:
- The Old Guard: As much as I love those dumb immortal husbands, more femslash, please!
- Leverage: Always more Eliot/Hardison/Parker, even in the wake of the new series. Maybe in a more domestic/curtain fic-y way?
- Pitch: MY KINGDOM FOR MORE PITCH PODS ALWAYS
- Black Sails: Anne/Max/Jack!!!! Flint/Miranda/Thomas!!! AUs of any kind.
